Month Five: How you doin’

Month Five: How you doin’

May 28

Well yes people I’m still here. Things are going well with me I’ve been crazy busy with shutting down school for the year and general life so things like this blog have not been kept up. I’ve dug my heels into this whole “sleeve-life” thing and I can tell you that I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it.

Last year at prom

This year prom me (with hubby)

Stress- I’m am (for this year at least) one of the two Jr. Class sponsors at the school with the other out on maternity leave prom and all things prom defaulted to me. This might not seem like much-but it is 750+ students attend our prom and all the details need to be handled by someone. It came and went and I’m glad it’s over.

You have no idea how long it took me to string up the planes

Running- as I said before I started the Couch to 5K training. This has dropped off in the last few weeks and I’m making an effort to regain my running legs this weekend. I have good friends at school who are going to run my first 5K with me. If you are a local DFW-er you are more then welcome to join.
Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest 5K

Join me and bring that blonde wig of yours

Clothing- Well I’m squeezing myself into a size 16 at this point (which is what I think I was when I graduated high school) therefore my closet basically needs to be replaced entirely. A blessing and a big problem all together. I’ve been donating left and right but I have been buying sparingly and with the season as I realize I will soon be out of that size as well.

Vacation- The school bell rings for the last time this year on June 9th – late to say the least. My husband, baby and I are taking off for a few weeks in California for a family wedding and a much needed rest. I can’t wait.

Weightloss- It’s coming off and just the other day I felt something very strange- my hipbone.

Inches lost since March: 11.5
Inches lost since surgery (Dec): 33.5

Total weight lost since March: 15lbs
Total weight loss since surgery (Dec): 74lbs (couldn’t crack the 75lb mark damn!)

And this is just the start people

I am 2 years out from RNY and at a goal I never expected to reach–normal– I am also an art teacher and that first summer I really waited to buy clothes– I had to change clothing sizes so often I just tried to buy a couple of things at a time to carry me through and shopped at an outlet mall on deep sale only. I found you on Trina’s list and I really like your blog. Mine suffers from twitteritis.

yea for Art Teachers! We are a valuable breed you know. I’m actually about to run to the consignment store to try to get rid of 50 items from my closet. I’m getting bare bones here. Proud – proud but naked :)
